Rhodonite Heart Pendant

Here's the beautiful Rhodonite heart all finished in a scalloped fine silver bezel with a sterling silver back.
I just listed it on my Etsy shop! It feels good to be able to do that :)

New Toys ( Oops~Tools)

My Dad is a Ham radio operator and my mom would always say that the main radio was pregnant.
This is how it seems with my jewelry scene!
Here's some new "babies"..... Sapping block and ABC punches.
I also just got some new hammers in the mail!

Chrysocolla Teardrop Earrings

Here are my latest creations made both at school in my jewelry class and at home ( I am proud to say!)  I really love them! I am not sure whether or not they will be for sale yet. The colors are so me :)  That's the problem with making what you love. You want to keep it all!

Slow Saturday Ramblings

I just pulled the last batch of cookies out of the oven and the house smells so good.  I made Chocolate Chip, Reeses Peanut Butter chip, Pecan cookies.  The recipe said it was "Thick and Chewy".
Well, they are small and puffy.  They are yummy, but not what I was craving today.  That's okay, my husband will eat them.  The recipe was his idea :)

You know when you wake up and your head is full of all the wonderful things you're going to do that day and how good it's going to be?  I woke up like that today and life intervened and I haven't gotten to those great idea's yet today!

So when all else fails?
Bake some cookies.  Or a cake.
Just bake.

That's what one of my jobs is. To bake on Wednesday for a friend's restaurant nearby.  I bake pies, cookies, coffee cakes, quick breads and sometimes my toffee squares.
That's the other part of my world.

Here's some mouth watering pictures for you to enjoy!

Soldering Table Hubby Built for Me

My mom always said my husband is "as handy as a pocket on a shirt!".  I know he is too, but sometimes I just really am amazed at what he creates.  Like this. My Soldering Table!

Soldering Table

The drawer pulls are old lighting yoke clamps from my hubby's day in Theater long ago :)

He made the drawer sides longer so I am able to get all the way to the back of the drawer without it falling! Smart man.

Tonight he put up the Hardy-boy walls for safety. They are cement boards.   I filled the space up with fire brick and he did up a ledge to keep them in.

I'm all ready!  I used it before, but now it seems more official.  Last week I bought a third arm too.

My first time soldering at home :)  Hubby got me a little jewelers torch for Xmas along with some Handy Flux, hard to extra easy solder and some steel shot too (my son has a rock tumbler that I will be using too!).  Again, Smart Man..

Here's the first piece I soldered at home! I'm on my way! Right now, I'll stick to the small torch. I have kids around and the tanks and kids make me nervous!

My little Crock-Pot for my pickle solution. I'm using a non-toxic recipe. 1 Tablespoon of salt to 1cup of Vinegar. Warm it up and it works really well.  Again, with kids, I am trying to keep it safe.
