Turquoise Dangle Love? Names are tricky!

I'm always stumped when choosing what to call one of my creations.  I see others making these wonderful titles and I'm envious! Oh well, I do my best and where it seems to be is in the creating  and not much with the words! Ha!
Here is a pair of delicious green turquoise and sterling silver earrings! I posted the pair I made for me a few days ago. Well, here's a pair for sale now! View them here on my Etsy Shop.

Yummy Amber Honey colored Montana Agate Pendant

I knew this stone was meant to be made into something wonderful when I saw it.  It was so rich and interesting!  I really enjoyed making a "home" for this stone to sit in.  I learned how to solder twisted wire to a setting.  A bit tricky at first, but I got it!

I really wanted to do a different bail to hang from the chain and I ended up using double half round wire. I like it. I flows with it all.  This stone is so stunning that I also couldn't keep it all close up in the setting!

So I opened up the back to let the sun shine through!
All in all, I am pretty proud of this piece! I think it came out just right! Now to match it up with the right person!

Here I am! Really!

I apologize for creating a blog and then not even posting on it! Ugh! How lame!
Well, now that summer is here, I will try to be more diligent about posting so that it makes it worthwhile to even have the blog.
Blogs are tricky.  How do I know that anyone is even paying attention?  Then again, do I sound dorky when I'm writing? Etc, etc, etc....
I am so much better at pictures anyways.

So I just finished my 3 semester of Jewelry Making/Metalsmithing and I feel super charged!!  For one, this summer, I have a studio that I can actually work in.  With my soldering table and a bench for my tools and ideas, I'm all ready to create!  Yesterday, I made these all at home! That's a wonderful feeling :)

So it looks like I'm getting the hang of this stuff.  Sure is cool. Even when I have to work harder at getting firescale off my pieces because I held the fire on them too long! Oh, the learning process!!
It's all worth it.   I worked on these earrings the other night and it turned out I was making them just for Me!!  Talk about falling in love with a piece of jewelry.

So here's a bit for now. I'll post the pieces I make in my class soon too.  But in order to create, I need to be off this machine! LOL!
